Blake2B-Sia is a Blake2B variant customized for the Sia blockchain. The standard Blake2B algorithm is widely used (Filecoin and others); Sia’s variant introduced a small protocol-specific tweak that prevented commodity Blake2B ASICs from being repurposed for SC mining.
